Description
The 2,100-seat Belk Theater is part of the Blumenthal
Performing Arts Center. The center has only been open since 1992, but
has already seen more than 2.5 million
people
pass
through its doors.
The Center is home to the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra,
Opera Carolina, North Carolina Dance Theatre, Carolina Voices, the Charlotte
Philharmonic Orchestra, Moving Poets Theater of Dance and the Carolinas
Concert Association.
Driving Instructions
From East Charlotte / Independence BLVD (HWY 74): Follow
74 onto the John Belk Freeway. Remain in right lane and exit 4th Street.
Turn left on 4th Street and proceed to College Street and turn right.
From North Charlotte heading South on I-77: Take
the Trade Street Exit off I-77, go east on Trade Street to College Street
and turn left.
From West Charlotte heading North on I-77: Take
the College Street exit off I-277, go north on College Street.
From South Charlotte: Take Providence Road or Randolph
Road towards uptown. (Providence becomes 3rd Street, and Randolph becomes
4th Street, merging together to become 4th Street) Take 4th Street to
College Street and turn right.
From I-85: Take Brookshire Freeway to Church Street
Exit. At intersection of Church and Trade Streets, turn left onto Trade
and Trade Streets, turn left onto Trade Street and turn left.
